School Portraits - Roxy and Poppy

Two school portrait posts in one day sets a record! (Granted, the bar was pretty low for the school-portrait-posts-in-a-day title.) GAP's next pair of student portraits -- of my two GORGEOUS nieces -- is gonna be Roxy and Poppy from Missoula, Montana.

They join other school portraits we have featured of Lori, Kent, Craig, Tom, Joe, Boyd/Sam, Ellen, Shari, John, Susan, Ryan, Dave, Tyrel/Ellis/Seth/Kalli, and Alea/Breck, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa, Grandma, Priscilla, and a variety of unidentified people.

Send in your current (or past) school portraits, and we will feature them on GAP.

UPDATE

Shari clarifies in the comments: "Hey, those girls are GORGEOUS!" And she's right, of course! They are beautiful GORGEOUS girls. I was actually going to note this in the original post but ran into a grammar problem. I really, really wanted to write "is gonna be Roxy" as the introduction to the portraits because it is an awesome line from the really awesome movie Chicago. Unfortunately, "is" is a single verb and Roxy and Poppie are two people, so I had the whole subject-verb agreement thing to overcome. I guess it depends on what "is" is. Anyway, it was poorly written in the original post, so I have rewritten the intro paragraph to recognize their gorgeousness, maintain subject-verb agreement, and still include the line "is gonna be Roxy." Grammar nerds have at it if you can come up with a better way of accomplishing all three!

School Portraits - Alea and Breck

More school portraits! Alea and Breck in Mumbai, India, hit us with their best shots.

They join other school portraits we have featured of Lori, Kent, Craig, Tom, Joe, Boyd/Sam, Ellen, Shari, John, Susan, Ryan, Dave, and Tyrel/Ellis/Seth/Kalli, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa, Grandma, Priscilla, and a variety of unidentified people.

School Portraits - Tyrel, Ellis, Seth, and Kalli

Our second batch of 2009 school portraits has arrived! That's right, Tyrel, Ellis, Seth, and Kalli in Cokeville, Wyoming, are now on Grandpa's Apple Press and, therefore, are now famous.

These follow up other school portraits we have featured of Lori, Kent, Craig, Tom, Joe, Boyd/Sam, Ellen, Shari, John, Susan, Ryan, and Dave, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa, Grandma, Priscilla, and a variety of unidentified people.

Send in your current (or past) school portraits, and we will feature them on GAP.

School Portrait - Dave

So far with the school portraits we have featured Lori, Kent, Craig, Tom, Joe, Boyd/Sam, Ellen, Shari, John, Susan, and Ryan, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa, Grandma, Priscilla, and a variety of unidentified people. Today we have Dave's pictures -- Joe's David (brother!), not Ellen's David (cousin!). As with all the school portraits, we did attempt to put them in chronological order. You are invited to let us know where we got the order wrong or to provide any additional details about these portraits.

Send in your current (or past) school portraits, and we will feature them on GAP. We are running short on portraits!

By the way,
until Dave comments on
these pictures,
the proper response
can only be to remain
unspoken about
them.

UPDATE

Dave comments and provides a recent portrait, triggering GAP's "Then and Now" tag. Thanks, Dave!
I think we need to look through some of Yia Yia's [Stella's] old albums for a few more of these - I don't remember ever having a 'laser' portrait taken, but I do know that I've had those double exposures done - one face looking straight on, and the other floating ghostlike above in silhouette.

Because we still are in school, I still get those portraits taken every year. I'll see if I can track down any of the more recent ones, but here's my school photo from 2007.

But, I think the joke in the post went over his head. Cut him some slack, though; I'm sure a younger Dave could crack the code!

Dave comments again, but it looks like code cracking is not his style.
Sorry - I wasn't looking for a code.
Unfortunately, that doesn't mean it isn't there.
Can you help me find it?
Kibbutzing via the internet isn't working.
I really have tried, but with no luck.
Too bad, I'll bet it was funny.
But if you try again, I promise to search.
Regardless of my chances of success.
Or not.

School Portrait - Ryan

GAP is quickly running out of portraits to post, so if you have any to contribute, please send them our way to stutz at montana dot com.

Maintaining the school portraits momentum, today we have several of Ryan, including one with lasers! To date we have featured school portraits of Lori, Kent, Craig, Tom, Joe, Boyd/Sam, Ellen, Shari, John, and Susan, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa, Grandma, Priscilla, and a variety of unidentified people. We do not have much info about Ryan's pictures, but are confident we got them in the correct chronological order. You are invited to provide any additional details about these or any of the portraits.

For some reason, when we see the second picture we feel like clicking this link.

UPDATE

Anonymous points out that we had the date wrong on Ryan's laser picture.
Picture couldn't have been in 1982. He was born in 1981. I am guessing in top picture he is 4 years old. Mom, Annette, would know for sure. Wasn't he sooooo cute though! Just want to pinch his cheeks!
Thanks, anonymous! And, duh, we should have caught that. There apparently was a labeling switcheroo on GAP's picture; we have changed the date to unknown. What would GAP do without these comments to keep us honest? Perhaps Ryan (or Annette) will chime in with the real date! And, so that we can pinch his cheeks.

Thanks to anonymous' comment, we found the picture of Ryan at one year old and posted it at School Portrait - Ryan - Revisited.

School Portrait - Susan

We have been on a solid run of school portraits these past few days and decided to keep things going. To date, we have featured school portraits of Lori, Kent, Craig, Tom, Joe, Boyd/Sam, Ellen, Shari, and John, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa, Grandma, Priscilla, and a variety of unidentified people. Today we have Susan's school portraits, a whole mess of them with no information about any. Nonetheless, we did attempt to put them in chronological order. You are invited to let us know where we got the order wrong or to provide any additional details about these portraits.

I would like to find a better copy of the second portrait, and hope it is not hiding out with Lori's baby picture!

School Portrait - John

GAP previously featured school portraits of Lori, Kent, Craig, Tom, Joe, Boyd/Sam, Ellen, and Shari, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa, Priscilla, and a variety of unidentified people. Today we have portraits of John, and I think most, if not all, of them are school portraits. As with all the school portraits, the known information about each picture is included, and we attempted to put them in chronological order. You are invited to let us know where we got the order wrong or to provide any additional details about these portraits.

John seems to love plaid even more than Joe. It is rare to see the plaid/tie combo, but John pulls it off!

School Portrait - Shari

We previously featured school portraits of Lori, Kent, Craig, Tom, Joe, Boyd/Sam, and Ellen, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa and Priscilla. Today, on her birthday (happy birthday, little sister!), we have school portraits of Shari through the years. As with all the school portraits, the known information about each picture is included, and we attempted to put them in chronological order. You are invited to let us know where we got the order wrong or to provide any additional details about these portraits.

School Portrait - Ellen

As fate would have it, in addition to Sarah entering the MTC for her mission, today is also the day her mom, Ellen, has her school portraits posted on GAP.

We previously featured school portraits of Lori, Kent, Craig, Tom, Joe, and Boyd/Sam, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa and Priscilla. With Ellen, as with all the school portraits, the known information about each picture is included, and we attempted to put them in chronological order. You are invited to let us know where we got the order wrong or to provide any additional details about these portraits.

School Portrait - Joe

Continuing our look at school portraits, which previously featured Lori, Kent, Craig, and Tom, as well as some non-school portraits of Grandpa, GAP now presents Joe. I included the information I have from the pictures, and I tried to put them in the correct order. Please let me know if I got anything wrong.

When I put these pictures together, I thought, "Dad in plaid!" Joe is my dad and he does not have a computer, so he cannot read this post. Shhhh -- don't tell Dad. This is my chance to taunt him without going to timeout, being sent to bed without eating anything, or being grounded. "Hey Dad, so that's what you look like with hair!" "Seeing these pictures, old man, remind me just how old you really are!" "If a picture is worth a thousand words, your words would be ears, ears, ears, etc."
