"This lil dog-photo brought back all sorts of memories for grandpa. The photo was taken when he was about 11yrs old. Quirt followed him home one day when he was 9 yrs old. It was some years later that he met a heartbreaking tragic ending; that of being shot by a sheep herder. (something like that) He was g-pa's best and most faithful companion during those years. Grandpa also related that he remembers how out by an old watering trough, is where he would tell Quirt all his secrets, feelings and innermost thoughts."
